New for Winter 2011/12

  • New hard shell 4-person hot tub installed at the chalet

  • New 2-person Infrared Sauna Cabin.  Great for soothing away aches and pains

  • For a little extra comfort try our "Luxury Bathrobe, Sauna Towel and Slippers" 'optional extra', for just a few euros. (and save on luggage!)

  • We are looking to extend our ski guiding service to 3 days per week, with the possibility of an "early start" "high mileage" day once in the week

  • SkiWelt now has "lounging areas" at the top of the Brandstadl and Eiberg for sun bathing in the snow.  There is even free wireless internet access!

  • At the request of our guests, we now have permanent, lowel level, lighting on all staircases.

  • All rooms are now provided with a multi-way UK socket adaptor - no more need to bring your own adaptors.

 

  

Ski Welt is Austria's largest linked ski resort, with 279km of piste. 180km of which are served by nearly 1000 snow canons. The pistes cater very well for complete beginners through to advanced intermediates. For advanced skiers there are "ski routes" available, some challenging black runs, and the possibility of a day out on Kitzbuhl's slopes.

Chalet Heidi provides "Catered Chalet" accommodation 300m from the centre of Scheffau. All 12 rooms have en-suite facilities, a TV, balcony, CD clock radio, Broadband Internet, Internet telephone, WiFi Internet and hair drier. The large dining room includes a bar, TV and DVD, and a rear patio overlooking the ski resort  Downstairs Chalet Heidi has a games room, television room with a large screen TV, music and games including table tennis, pool, PS2 and table football - ideal for leaving the kids in whilst you relax and socialise in the bar above.  Also down stairs is a well equipped fitness room, two saunas, a hot tub,  a heated ski/boot room with heated boots racks (nothing nicer than warm dry boots in the morning!)  Upstairs, guests have the use of a kitchen, where tea and coffee can be made all day, and a lounge with a wood burning stove and music centre.

Chalet Heidi is located 3 minutes walk from the centre of Scheffau. Skiers and boarders can ski from the centre to the main gondolas into SkiWelt. On return, a very regular shuttle bus whisks you back to the centre of Scheffau (about 4 mins) In normal snow conditions there is a maintained piste from the centre of Scheffau to the gondola and a lift from the gondola back to the centre of Scheffau.  In deepest winter guests can ski from the front door of Chalet Heidi!

Apres Ski bars are based at the foot of the main gondolas and provide daily entertainment and music. The "Village Pub" in Scheffau provides excellent evening drinking or you can simply relax in Chalet Heidi's bar with the other guests.

 

Other facilities include: A large reception with friendly staff and a guest computer; Parking for 10 cars; Garden terrace for socialising on those hot March/April afternoons.
